Baseball: St. John Bosco’s Tyler Smith commits to Pepperdine

St. John Bosco senior shortstop Tyler Smith has committed to Pepperdine, Coach Don Barbara said.
Smith has been one of the top hitters in the Trinity League.
Through 20 games, he was hitting .384.
Another player committing was Taft first baseman Jayson Newman, who’s headed to Cal State Northridge. He has hit 11 home runs this season.
