Boys’ basketball: Chino Hills is No. 1 in first 1AA poll

In the first Southern Section Division 1AA poll, Chino Hills is ranked No. 1, Mater Dei No. 2 and Corona Centennial No. 3.

Bishop Montgomery is No. 4, Redondo No. 5, Santa Margarita No. 6, Long Beach Poly No. 7, Damien No. 8, St. John Bosco No. 9 and Rancho Verde No. 10.

Crespi is ranked No. 1 in 3A. Foothill is No. 1 in 1A.

Most of the top teams will end up playing in the Open Division when the playoffs begin.
