Football: Eugenio, Pettis lead unbeaten JSerra to 52-13 victory

JSerra’s two senior standouts, Casey Eugenio and Dante Pettis, came through to help the Lions improve to 3-0 with a 52-13 victory over Buena Park.
Eugenio rushed for 176 yards in 20 carries and scored four touchdowns. At one point in the third quarter, he scored touchdowns on three consecutive carries. Pettis caught touchdown pases of 33 and 39 yards from quarterback Nick Robinson and had a three-yard touchdown after blocking a punt.
JSerra’s defense held Buena Park’s Deven Boston to 55 yards rushing in 13 carries. Boston scored both Buena Park touchdowns. Buena Park, after falling behind, 21-0, closed to 21-13 at halftime. Then JSerra scored four touchdowns in the third quarter to make the game a blowout.
Robinson passed for 186 yards.
