Football: Holmes brothers already making impact at Newbury Park
- Share via
It sure didn’t take long for brothers Darick and Darnay Holmes to make an impact at Newbury Park after transferring from Oaks Christian.
They helped the Panthers defeat Thousand Oaks on Saturday in the championship game of the Conejo Valley seven on seven passing tournament.
Darick, a senior, and Darnay, a sophomore, were all over the field catching passes and playing on defense. So was receiver Ryan McGee. The beneficiary was quarterback Daniel Trieto.
Another standout was Thousand Oaks junior defensive back-receiver Kevin Howell, who has been starting since he was a freshman. The Lancers played three quarterbacks on the day.
Alemany lost in the semifinals.
