Football: Mater Dei cruises to 56-7 win over St. Paul

Quarterback Chase Forrest had three touchdown passes to help Santa Ana Mater Dei improve to 2-0 with a 56-7 victory over St. Paul on Thursday night.
Kyle Penniston, Matthew Rockett and Ben Humphreys caught TD passes from Forrest, who also directed the Monarchs to a victory last week against Upland. Sophomore Brandon LaMarche contributed two TDs. Next up for Mater Dei is a road game against Carson next Friday.
Redlands East Valley crushed Summit, 50-0. Quarterback Mark Neilssien passed for three touchdowns and ran for another.
Matthew Gane threw touchdown passes to Jeremy Maxwell and Kiante Goudeau to help Huntington Beach Edison (2-0) hold off Garfield, 14-0.
