Football: Santa Margarita begins search for new coach

Santa Margarita is taking applications for a new football coach after the retirement of Harry Welch, who was the coach for four seasons.
Among the rumored candidates: Bob Johnson of Mission Viejo and Jim Hartigan of JSerra. Santa Margarita assistant Elijah Asante, a former head coach at Carson and St. Paul, will definitely apply.
