Football: The Victor Viramontes workout
There aren’t too many high school players quite like Norco quarterback Victor Viramontes, who also moonlights as a middle linebacker when needed.
In his season opener on Friday against Etiwanda, Viramontes rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns in 11 carries and completed eight of 15 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
But this is the stat that makes you scream, “Wow.”
He played seven downs on defense and recorded four tackles for losses.
As Coach Chuck Chastain said, “That’s an amazing athlete.”
Norco faces Rancho Cucamonga on television on Friday night. All of Southern California will get a chance to see Viramontes, who’s committed to Michigan.
