Track & Field: Destiny Collins state runner-up in 1,600

Destiny Collins of Great Oak was second in the girls 1,600 at today’s state championships in Clovis. Collins clocked 4:51.47 to finish behind Sarah Robinson of Gunn (4:44.87).
Defending champion Blake Haney of Stockdale ran the final 800 meters in 1:58 to win the boys 1,600 in 4:08.52. Austin Tamagno of Brea Olinda was second in 4:09.57.
