Harlem Globetrotters on Warriors’ win streak: ‘Just 3,562 short of our current mark’

The Golden State Warriors have won 27 straight games, a streak that includes a 23-0 start to this season.
That’s pretty impressive. Unless you’ve been part of winning streaks that have gone into the thousands.
You know, like the Harlem Globetrotters, who sent out this tweet after the Warriors beat the Indiana Pacers, 131-123, on Tuesday night:
But the Globetrotters also gave the defending NBA champions their props with this follow-up tweet:
It’s tough to track down an actual win-loss for the Globetrotters, who have been known to have multiple teams on tour at once. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Globetrotters had a 24-year, 8,829-game winning streak that ended with a loss to a team led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1995.
So we’ll just have to take the Globetrotters’ word for it about their current 3,589-game winning streak. It looks like the Warriors are -- their one-word response to the Globetrotters’ original tweet Tuesday night said it all:
