Central Sierra: March Madness at Bear Valley Mountain means $12 lift tickets on Tuesdays
- Share via
Bear Valley Mountain ski resort in the central Sierra offers its own version of March Madness that has nothing to do with basketball: Lift tickets cost just $12 every Tuesday in March.
The deal: The mountain, like resorts up and down the Sierra, has received consistent and continuing snow this winter. As of Sunday, it had a base of 131 inches -- and more snow was expected, according to the resort’s website. Bear Valley Mountain, just north of the town of Arnold, Calif., offers both downhill and cross-country skiing in more than 1,600 acres with 70 trails and two terrain parks.
When: The offer is good for skiers and snowboarders March 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Details: Lift tickets usually cost $62 for adults, $49 for teens 13 to 19, $19 for children 6 to 12, and $5 for kids 1 to 5 (prices don’t include tax). The resort sits between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite on Highway 4.
