Clippers, at Utah, Try to Halt a Seven-Game Road Skid

SALT LAKE CITY — The Clippers, losers of seven straight road games over the last month, will try to break that streak tonight (6:30 PST) against the Utah Jazz.
Center Bill Walton, nursing soreness in his right ankle, probably will not play. The Clippers said Tuesday that Walton would miss another week with the injury, but then he tried to play Wednesday in the Clippers’ 108-105 victory over Golden State at the Sports Arena. He left the game because of recurring soreness after playing for only six minutes.
After tonight’s game, the Clippers (21-31) will play home games Sunday against Atlanta and Monday against San Antonio.
